Delivering actionable feedback

* The real challenge lies in converting statistics into something more meaningful
* Little and often is best
* A sense of partnership needs to be created
* Statements to which recipients can react give more focus than questions
* Recipients love their opinion being acted upon
* Many response scales currently favoured do not lead to action
* Slow analysis militates against action

Combining statements with a 5 point likert scale e.g. strongly agree to strongly disagree gives more valuable feedback then questions on degrees of satisfaction. The later may give a warm glow or sleepless nights depending on the scores but you will not have focused actionable feedback
